Job Description:
Overview: This intern will assist the Curriculum Development Manager in all aspects of the Delta Garden Study Curriculum Development.
Responsibilities and potential projects include: Tasks could include: editing lessons, research, writing, brainstorming ideas, assistance with presentations and teacher trainings, developing materials lists, developing process evaluations and quizzes etc. This intern will also have an opportunity to work with a Registered Dietitian on nutrition fact sheets, recipes and recipe analysis, 24-hour recall and other nutrition related tasks.
Special circumstances: This position may involve travel for community meetings and site visits.
Requirements: All majors are welcome; however, students with an interest in dietetics, outdoor education or agriculture education are encouraged to apply.
Perks: Although this is an unpaid internship, it provides the opportunity to participate in a large multi-site School Garden Research study and be involved with a wide variety of activities to assist with the development of the study. This will be a wonderful opportunity to gain research experience with a dedicated and knowledgeable staff.
